Che la festa cominci!
Sullo schermo teso, sulla tela sempre pura, dove né la vita né il sangue lasciano tracce, gli avvenimenti più complessi possono essere riprodotti quante volte si voglia.
Le azioni sono accelerate o rallentate, L’ordine degli avvenimenti può essere rovesciato. L’effetto diventa causa. I morti rivivono e ridono.
Tutto ciò che fu luce viene estratto dal tempo ordinario, e torna e ritorna dal fondo delle tenebre.
Si vede la esattezza del reale rivestirsi di tutti gli attributi del sogno.
Infine, attraverso arresti e ingrandimenti si può rappresentare persino l’attenzione stessa.
La mia anima è agitata da questi portenti. Così Louis Lumière senza saperlo ha dato il via al fantastico cinematografico che fa meditare.

Le Giornate del Cinema Muto 2012: Pre Highlights
When it comes to Le Giornate Del Cinema Muto it’s very much a second home too many of us at Bristol Silents. Many of us have been going for nearly ten years (some even longer), but it has always been a major highlight of the film festival calendar.
Well, the 31st Le Giornate Del Cinema Muto is nearly upon us (it kicks off on Saturday 6th October, 2012) and we couldn’t head off without noting down what we are looking forward to in the coming week. Underneath is just a selection of Top Fives (more or less) on what some of us at Bristol Silents and many of our friends are looking forward to this year at Pordenone. See you guys all out there!
